Project Background
The project is aimed at providing support for the implementation of the UNECE Education for Sustainable Development Strategy and to reach the sub-objective 6.3. of the EECCA Strategy on environmental education. It envisages implementation of national assessments to priorities educational needs and technical assistance, including development of a relevant network, directories, trainings, guidelines and strategy. It will also support the development of teaching materials on environmental and ecological matters (‘green packs’).
Goals and objectives
- To introduce Environmental/Sustainable Development issues into education systems and curricula.
- Build the capacity of those organisations responsible for Environmental Education (thereby raising environmental awareness of all stakeholders).
- Introduction of the “Green pack” in the schools from Chisinau, in special secondary schools, internates, orfelinates.
- Training of teachers for the use of the teaching materials.
