National Projects

October 14, 2000
The RTC Chisinau club organises its first project, which starts the club activity and becomes the base to collect funds and to carry out further arrangements.
The members of the RTC Chisinau club participate in a fair-sale dedicated to celebrating the Day of the City.


January 2001
The RTC Chisinau club takes under guardianship the boarding school in Calarasi town, where there are 74 children at the moment at the age of 7 and up to 18 years old. We carry out the Christmas Holiday with competitions, gifts and dessert table.


June 1, 2001
An arrangement dedicated to the International Child Protection Date is carried out with participation of the puppet theatre "Guguta". The actors from the theatre perform a play for children and the members of the club share treatments, which are tasted for some children for the first time in their lives.


January 2002
The members of the RTC Chisinau club carry out their next Christmas Holiday in the boarding school of Calarasi town. The boarding school undergoes an unfavourable situation and lacks food products and clothes, therefore we, with assistance of sponsors - physical person and legal entities, prepare and hand over to the boarding school sweets, several sacks with cereals, as well as clothes and shoes for the children.


April 2002
An arrangement dedicated to the Easter and sponsored by the honoured member of the RTC Chisinau club - every child from the boarding school gets his/her individual hygiene set: towel, comb, tooth-brush and tooth-paste, shampoo, soap, as well as soap powder and cleansers. And, no doubts, the children get their treats.


Autumn 2002
The members of the RTC Chisinau club make decision to carry out an arrangement aimed at facilitating the bathroom and the cloakroom in the boarding school in Calarasi town, which is named after the repair "Mens sana in corpore sano". Preparation and implementation of the project take about 3 months, in the result we have the bathroom and the cloakroom repaired, set a boiler and a water-reservoir for Calarasi is short of good water supply.


This arrangement is carried out with financial assistance on the side of the Rotary District 2241, the Mayor's Office of Calarasi town and sponsors - physical persons and legal entities. Once the bathroom is ready for usage, we hand over plastic goods for domestic purposes (buckets, wash-basins, pegs), slippers for children, as well as a video tape-recorder with circa 70 video-tapes with various films and cartoons.

December 19, 2002
The New Year arrangement "Let's not forget those, who are at a more disadvantage than we" is carried out at the Pediatry Department of the Oncology Republican Centre. We tend to organise a holiday for the children, of which they have been deprived in the course of two years, with participation of the Santa Claus, competitions, singing and dancing, giving presents and sweets, as well as showing a video film. A News Year Tree is arranged in the department.


March 6, 2003
The RTC Chisinau club starts a project on data collecting and rendering assistance to poor families and many-children families. Within this project and while collaborating with the non-profit organisation "Marseille Solidarite Internationale" in the settlements Zubresti, Voinova and Chirianca there have been rendered assistance to a number of poor families in form of food products, hygienic production, clothes for children, stationary and toys for children.


August 24-26, 2002
The football competition, collaborating with the non-profit organisation "Marseille Solidarite Internationale". During the whole competition the stadium at Vadul-lui-Voda is being leased. All the winners are awarded with special prises. Club Rotaract Chisinau support one of the team by purchasing the t-shirts with the Rotaract emblem.


November 30, 2003
The project titled "Holiday for the Soul" is carried out by the RTC together with the "Humanitas" Association, which renders support to more than 30 families with handicapped children. Up for the "Humanitas" is a diversified programme, which reflects both spiritual problems, which are faced by parents with handicapped children, and entertaining competitions, which enable the children to manifest their abilities. And we prepare sweet treatment and presents for the children. The event gets media coverage.
